Read the warranty before you hire us.
Most contractors hand you the warranty after the job is done. We would rather you read what we stand behind before you ever sign anything, because a promise you can't read isn't much of a promise.
The Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty, in plain language
Every completed roofing project receives a written warranty certificate at final payment. Here is what that certificate actually says, summarized honestly. The certificate you receive is the legal document and controls if anything here differs.
What it covers
Our installation labor. If a defect in our workmanship causes a problem, we repair the defective workmanship or re-perform the work at no cost to you. "Lifetime" means the entire time the original homeowner owns and lives in the home.
What it doesn't cover
The materials themselves, because shingles, underlayment, and flashings carry their own manufacturer warranty, which we register and hand you in the same packet. It also doesn't cover storm damage such as hail or winds over 50 mph (that's what your homeowner's insurance is for, and we help you document it), damage from other trades who work on your roof after us (a solar installer's penetrations, for example), settlement of the structure itself, or normal cosmetic weathering that doesn't affect how the roof sheds water.
How a claim works
Write to us describing what you're seeing, with photos if you can. We schedule an inspection within 30 days, weather permitting, and then respond with a repair, re-performance, or settlement under Colorado's construction defect law (C.R.S. §§ 13-20-802 and following). You will never have to guess what the process is.
Transferability
The warranty belongs to the original homeowner and ends when the home sells, unless you ask us in writing before closing to assign it to the buyer. We consider those requests case by case, with an inspection and a transfer fee. We tell you this up front because "lifetime" warranties that quietly die at closing are a common industry surprise, and we would rather you know exactly how ours works.
A standing courtesy
As long as you own the home, you can request a free roof inspection from us at any time. Not a sales visit, an inspection. It's the easiest way to catch small problems while they're still small.
